23.01.05 21:06 School... OK, Stacey, you were right. Not being in school is driving me crazy. Not taking classes is driving me crazy. I feel like my brain has been on hiatus, so last night I applied to go back to school and get my Secondary Ed. in Spanish degree and tonight I have been taking practice GREs (which suck - what happened to my vocabulary and geometry skills?). One way or the other, I will be in school next autumn. As for the weather...0 degrees at noon? This is just plain ridiculous! 22.01.05 17:18 Garden State... Yesterday afternoon my mom sent me an email saying I had better find somewhere to stay in Ft. Wayne due to the impending snowstorm; yet, at 11:00 p.m. it had yet to snow. Although upon waking (I italicize this as I really didn't sleep at all last night. I would dream for a few minutes and then wake - a cycle that was repeated the entire night.) I was quite glad that I had done so as the roads were completely covered and the winds had made plowing next to impossible. Although, I suppose at 5:00 a.m. there wouldn't be many plows running anyway. Back a few hours... After eating some "Coldstone", Linda and I went to Meijer so I could get Kelly Clarkson's new CD and she ended up buying Ryan Cabrera's, as well as Garden State . Although I knew that it had received fairly good reviews, I knew nothing about the movie. I hate spoilers, so I won't give anything away, but it should suffice to say that although the ending is a bit too "easy" (then again, its not at all, but...) the movie is just really "cute" - not in a chick flick kind of way, but in a good "awww that is love" kind of way. I could go on for hours about Natalie Portman. Before Closer I just knew she was an attractive gal, but after seeing the two films, I can't get enough of her. I might even break down and watch Star Wars...Her acting is just so effortless. I guess that is how I would describe it...comfortable, easy and effortless. After I got home from work today, I ran and did abs for the 20th time this month, but about ten minutes before my run was to end, I broke our "AirWalker" - the entire welding on the left side of the frame warped and I found my left leg running sideways as my right continued upon its forward/back path. Woohooo!!! I retired my first piece of exercise equipment! 21.01.05 11:25 be zen. 21.01.05 0:02 Day 2... This morning and early afternoon was spent duplicating this page into all the various forms for the other pages - a simple changing of title and images. They are all uploaded, with several even containing content, although I realized that I didn't do the links right on the hompage, so they aren't easily visible. Snow sux. I actually cleaned my room and put away my clean clothes this afternoon and evening due to being snowbound (well, and some unanticipated work drama...but that's another day...) 19.01.2005 23:01 Thus the site is reborn... Perhaps it is that I find the process of building the site - creating the concept, the motif, the color scheme - the most fulfilling, but why not give it another go-around. I have no excuses this time - DSL has made the internet my home within my home. |
